Industrial Waste to Energy
NREDCAP is the State Nodal Agency for implementation of Non-Conventional Energy
programmes and Projects including Power Projects from Municipal Solid Waste/ Industrial
wastes.
Objectives:
- To assess and upgrade various conversion
technologies.
- To create conducive conditions and
environment, with fiscal and financial regime to develop, demonstrate and disseminate
utilization of wastes for recovery of energy.
- To harness the available potential
of MSW/Industrial Waste-to energy by the year 2017.
NEDCAP is authorized by the A.P. State Government vide. G.O. Ms. No. 253, E & F
(RES) Department, dated 15-11-94 to sanction the Municipal Solid Waste/Industrial
Waste based Power projects of capacity up to 20 MW. Andhra Pradesh is having various
Industries which generate effluents. These effluents are to be treated to have value
added product. The waste generated from Industries like starch, palm oil, distilleries,
dairy, poultry, furfural etc., can be treated to generate Electricity.
