The Mini Hydel Power Projects was initially with the then APSEB. During the year
1999, the Mini Hydel Programme was transferred to NREDCAP along with sites project
sanctions vide G.O. Ms.No.37 Dt.1.2.1999 of Energy (Power I) Department along with
the sites / projects registered with them by the Developers.

After transfer of the scheme NREDCAP allotted the sites as first come first serve
basis. After identification of the sites the private Developers shall have to submit
the information to NREDCAP in the prescribed application form duly paying an amount
of Rs.5,000/- per application as registration fee. After verification of the details,
NREDCAP will allot the site as first come first serve basis to the Developers. One
site will be considered on one application.

After allotment of site the developer shall submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR)
to NREDCAP. NREDCAP will forward the DPR to Irrigation Dept., Government of Andhra
Pradesh for consideration to issue NOC. The DPR will be placed before the standing
committee constituted by the Govt. vide G.O.Ms.No.58 dt. 25-4-2000 of Irrigation
& CAD (PW-QC-IWS) Department.

Basing on the recommendation of the committee to issue the NOC , Govt. will take
further action.

On receipt of NOC from Govt. NREDCAP will place before the Board for sanction of
project. The Developer has to pay sanction fee of Rs.1,50,000 and Security Deposit
Rs.1,00,000 per M.W. before entering in to Agreement.

After entering into Agreement, the developer shall approach the financial institution
for term loan. The time allowed is 6 months for financial closure and 18 months
for completion and commissioning of the project.

The developer has to enter into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with DISCOMS concerned.
